What You’ll Do

Own the Day’s Work

You’ll lead daily field operations by planning tasks, setting expectations, and keeping crews productive across heavy civil construction scopes.

Execute daily work plans and production goals
Coordinate labor, tools, materials, and equipment needs
Maintain steady workflow and minimize downtime
Ensure work is completed correctly the first time

Lead From the Front

At Gerber, leadership starts in the field. As a Crew Leader, you’ll set the tone through your actions, professionalism, and accountability. You’ll lead by example while holding others to the same standard.

Direct and support general and skilled laborers
Maintain professionalism and clear authority on the jobsite
Enforce safety, quality, and conduct expectations
Take responsibility for crew performance and outcomes

What You’ll Bring

You’ve earned respect through your work and are ready to lead others the same way.

We’re looking for someone with:

3 to 5 years of proven experience in concrete heavy civil construction
Prior experience leading or guiding crews
Strong communication and leadership presence
Solid understanding of jobsite safety requirements
Ability to read basic plans, grades, and work layouts
Maintain clean, organized work areas
Confirm completed work meets Gerber quality standard

Preferred:

Experience across multiple scopes (concrete, utilities, excavation, mechanical)
Confined Space, Fall Protection, or OSHA training
Ability to anticipate needs and plan ahead
If something isn’t safe or right, you speak up and fix it.
