As a Superintendent at Gerber Construction, you lead the field. You coordinate people, equipment, and complex work fronts to deliver safe, high-quality projects—from structural concrete to utilities, earthwork, mechanical systems, and major water infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

Direct field operations and keep the project moving.


You run day-to-day jobsite activities and ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and according to plan.

  • Lead and coordinate all crews and subcontractors
  • Maintain accurate look-ahead schedules (3–5 weeks)
  • Manage labor, equipment, sequencing, and on-site logistics
  • Oversee concrete pours, installations, inspections, and critical path activities
  • Anticipate challenges and keep production flowing

You’re the person who makes the plan buildable.

Leading the Team

Set the tone. Build a strong crew. Lead by example.


You guide Foremen, Assistant Superintendents, and field teams through every phase of the work, creating clarity and accountability on the job.

  • Provide direction and expectations
  • Mentor developing leaders
  • Promote communication between field and office
  • Ensure safety, professionalism, and unity across all work fronts

What You’ll Bring

Skills that turn plans into real-world results.

  • Experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, or Assistant Superintendent
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction means, methods, and sequencing
  • Ability to coordinate multiple trades and work fronts
  • Skill in scheduling, layout, equipment planning, and field documentation
  • Understanding of quality control, safety planning, and compliance
  • Ability to read drawings, redlines, and technical specifications

Preferred:

  • Experience with water/wastewater treatment, tanks, or heavy civil structures
  • Proficiency in Procore (or similar), Bluebeam, and basic computer tools

First Aid/AED, OSHA 10/30, Fall Protection, Confined Space (or willing to obtain)
